Globacom has concluded plans to entertain its current and potential subscribers across Nigeria with its inimitable comedy show, Glo Lafftafest.The entertainment train will track through major Nigerian cities from August 30 with a premier in Benin, Edo State. The show which made its debut in 2009 will feature top-rated Nigerian stand-up comics including existing Glo ambassadors, Basket Mouth and Helen Paul as well as the newly signed Bovi and AY with a guest appearance by Salvador from Uganda. Other Nigerian comedians that will thrill the audience include Okey Bakassi, I Go Die, Seyi Law, Funny Bone, Dan De Humorous, Julius Agwu, Buchi, Gordons, Omo Baba, Osama, Bash, and others.After the premier in Benin, the show train will move to Victoria Island, Abeokuta, Surulere, Port Harcourt, Ikeja, Ibadan, Ikorodu, Egbeda, Abuja and Ijebu-Ode and will be preceded by a road show in each location where the event will be held.
The show will also feature award winning artistes and Glo ambassadors such as Flavor, Whiz kid, Burna Boy, Wande Coal, Korede Bello, D’ija, Rekaardo Banks, Pasuma and Saheed Osupa, while DJ Jimmy Jatt, DJ Neptune, DJ X Gee, DJ Spinali, DJ Switch and DJ Tor will dish out tunes from the ‘wheels-of steel’.
Existing customers of the network who are interested in attending the show should use up to N3,000 on calls, SMS and data on the network in a month, and text ‘LOL’ and location of the show which they want to attend to “33001.” For example, subscribers wishing to attend the show in Port Harcourt are encouraged to text ‘LOL PORT HARCOURT’ to 33001.
The first hundred guests to arrive at each location will enjoy photo opportunities with Glo ambassadors at the venue.
Lafftfest was launched by Globacom to bring fun and entertainment to millions of subscribers on the network across the country.
Performing at the event are Seyi Law, AY, BasketMouth, Bovi and Okey Bakassi. Others include Salvador (Uganda), I Go Dye, Helen Paul, Gordons, Julius Agwu, Omo Baba, Bash, Osama, Buchi and many more.
