Fourth Live Show Puts Family Center Stage As Chisom Exits The Race To Become The Eighth Nigerian Idol

It was a family-filled Sunday with Nigerian Idol as contestants were surprised with the arrival of their family members, a sweet Father’s Day video message for IK Osakioduwa, and another from Simi to her husband, Adekunle Gold.

Victory Gbakara was the first contestant to make it to the top 6 as he gave a powerful performance of My Redeemer Lives by Nicole C Mullen. The next contestant to wow the audience was Ose Daniel with an emotional rendition of Nothing’s Gonna Change My Love For You, his mum’s favourite. It was very moving when his mother teared up, it’s Father’s Day, but we felt the love between mother and son.

Precious Mac made it to the elite Top 6! She sang From This Moment, as recommended by her sister, and once again proved she’s a star! Her powerful performance got a standing ovation from the audience. Goodness was next as she rocked the stage to deliver a beautiful rendition of CeCe Winans’ Mercy Said No. She got a ringing endorsement from the judges as D’banj said he could hear the lyrics properly for the first time.

A performer all the way, Savvy Henry is in the Top 6! His romantic serenade of Hero by Enrique Iglesias took the audience’s breaths away and made them swoon. Quest filled the last spot in the coveted Top 6 and closed off the show with a moving performance of Alabaster Box by CeCe Winans. The emotional performance moved both her and the audience to tears.

Unfortunately, Chisom was unable to scale through to the next round. He got one last chance to wow the audience, and he did exactly that with a romantic rendition of I Wanna Know by Joe.
