Guinness launches low sugar Malta

In response to the growing demands of its health-conscious consumers, Guinness Nigeria Plc has announced the official debut of  Malta Guinness Low Sugar, a new lower sugar variant of  its Malta Guinness  drink.

The new variety, according to the company, has been developed in response to the growing demand from consumers across Nigeria for a great tasting, lower sugar variant of the malt drink to satisfy the desire to lead a healthier lifestyle.

Speaking at the unveiling in Lagos, Managing Director of Guinness Nigeria PLC, Mr Devlin Hainsworth, explained that the new variant had not come to replace the classic Malta Guinness, which has continued to delight its customers, but  an alternative offering for those  that prefer a lower sugar beverage that still tastes great.

“We have seen that there is an increase in the  number of people in Nigeria who are becoming more health conscious when it comes to diet and exercise, and Malta Guinness Low Sugar will meet the demands of a lower sugar alternative on the market while still giving the same goodness of their favourite malt,” he argued,
The company’s boss also added that the new variant had been adopted by the English premiership side, Arsenal Football Club, as its  official malt drink in Nigeria for the next three years.  “As part of the partnership,” he said, “the new Malta Guinness Low Sugar will be the official malt drink of the Arsenal FC during the club’s  tour in Nigeria in August this year.”
